Editorial policy

How PONTEA researches and updates admissions content

Our editorial standard is designed for time-sensitive exam information: use primary sources, date every review, and distinguish facts from preparation advice.

Our commitments

  • Prefer universities and government sources
  • Show the academic year and review date
  • Do not present historical dates as future dates
  • Provide a visible route for corrections
01

Sources and fact checking

For test format, dates, registration, candidate categories, scoring, rankings, and enrolment, we prefer official university pages, calls for applications, enrolment regulations, and ministerial documents. Secondary sources may inform topic discovery but should not override a current primary source.

02

Dates and updates

Every time-sensitive guide identifies the academic year and the date on which its official sources were checked. Completed dates are described as historical. If a future intake has not been published, we say so instead of projecting last year’s calendar.

03

Authorship and responsibility

Until individual author profiles and credentials are verified for publication, admissions guides are attributed to the PONTEA School editorial team. This avoids assigning content to invented or incomplete biographies. PONTEA remains responsible for corrections to pages published under that byline.

04

Advice, claims, and conflicts

Preparation recommendations are labelled by context and should not be read as official admissions instructions or guarantees. Commercial course links do not change which official sources we cite. We do not accept payment to alter a university fact or ranking explanation.

05

Corrections

Send the page URL, the statement in question, and a primary source to info@pontea.school. Material corrections should update the page copy and review date. Minor spelling or formatting corrections may be fixed without a separate notice.
