Architecture at Polito is a capped programme
The Polito Architecture Bachelor’s programme requires admission through its published call and the TIL-A test. The annual call is the controlling document for eligibility, candidate categories, registration, rankings, places, and enrolment.
TIL-A registration and test dates
For 2026/27, TIL-A registration ran from 12 June until 14:00 Italian time on 15 July. Candidates could select 21 or 22 July, but Polito allowed only one date and stated that the chosen date and time slot could not be changed. The test was exclusively in person.
- Read the Architecture call and the enrolment regulations
- Register through Apply@polito before the deadline
- Select only one available TIL-A session
- Complete qualification and language documentation on time
- Follow ranking and online enrolment instructions after the test
A foreign diploma creates a separate requirements checklist
Polito states that applicants generally need a secondary qualification corresponding to at least 12 years of schooling. Alternative evidence can be required for shorter school systems. Country-specific university entrance evidence, language certification, qualification documents, and visa-related steps may also apply. SAT is not accepted as an alternative for Architecture.
Do not treat test registration as a complete application
Applicants with non-Italian qualifications had to complete the relevant Apply@polito sections and meet language-document deadlines. For Architecture applicants in 2026/27, the university listed 15 July for the language-skills requirement. The call and enrolment regulations determine exactly which documents apply to each case.
Build a separate admissions tracker
Start studying from the stable five-section subject framework, but maintain a separate admissions tracker for the next call. Record your candidate category, diploma pathway, language evidence, test booking, travel plan, ranking updates, and final enrolment deadline.
Common questions
Questions students ask before they start
Was TIL-A online in 2026/27?
No. Polito stated that the 2026/27 TIL-A was held exclusively in person for every candidate category.
Could candidates take TIL-A on both dates?
No. The official page said candidates could select only one of 21 or 22 July 2026 and could not change the booking after choosing the date and slot.
Can SAT replace TIL-A for Architecture?
No. Polito’s guidance for applicants with a non-Italian qualification explicitly says SAT is not valid for Architecture.
Is a 12-year school qualification required?
Polito generally requires a secondary diploma earned after at least 12 years of schooling, with specified alternative evidence for some 10- or 11-year systems. Check the current call for your exact qualification.
